She is a distinguished consultant in equity and inclusion, an educator, and a dedicated community builder, has garnered acclaim for her impactful work. Honored as one of the Top 100 Black Women to Watch in Canada in 2020 and recognized as a leading figure in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in 2021, she achieved another milestone in 2023 by receiving the Black Excellence in Leadership award from Laura Mae Lindo, Former Member of Provincial Parliament for Kitchener Centre.
Colleen is driven by a commitment to challenging the prevailing norms in racial equity and social justice. Over the past 15 years, she has collaborated with numerous organizations, guiding them to embrace the diversity inherent in their workforce. Colleen facilitates leaders in deepening their understanding of power dynamics and privilege, empowering them to reconsider outdated business models and foster equal opportunities within their organizations.
Recognizing the imperative need for systemic change to establish authentic spaces of belonging, Colleen has made it her mission to devise innovative solutions that address equity, diversity, and inclusion in workplaces and beyond. Her dedication to creating positive transformations transcends traditional boundaries.
In 2022, Colleen's commitment to community service was further exemplified as she was elected to the regional council in the Region of Waterloo.
